Inaugural medal recipients of the Duke of Edinburgh Award in Australia, Gold Distinguished Service, Silver Distinguished Service and Long Service Medals instituted by the Award in Australia. Invested by the Governor General His Excellency General, the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC, National Patron of the Duke of Edinburgh Award in Australia at Government House, Yarralumla Canberra.The investiture was undertaken in conjunction with ACT Gold Awards.
