Statement by the Premier of Queensland Vale Terry Effeney

A statement read by the Honourable Mark Bailey MP on behalf of the Premier of Queensland the Honourable Annastacia Palaszczuk MP in relation to the passing of former CEO of ENERGEX Limited Mr Terry Effeney. The statement was read before the commencement of the Requiem Mass at Mount Carmel Catholic Church Coorparoo Brisbane. Shane Stone was a former Chairman of ENERGEX. Terry Effeney AO subsequently conferred an Officer of the Order of Australia in the Queen's Birthday Honours List. His citation read ''For distinguished service to the energy supply sector, particularly in Queensland, through planning and delivery programs, to infrastructure management, and to the community''.
