Exporting NT Expertise the Side Tipping Trailer

The side tipping trailer was designed, patented and developed in the Northern Territory by Bernie Ostermeyer, Bulk Transfer System Pty Limited. The product was then manufactured in Indonesia by PT United Tractors Pandu Engineering at the Jababeka Plant, Bekasi Indonesia. The Northern Territory had a very limited manufacturing base and strategic partnerships off-shore was key to developing such products. In 1995 the Annual Australian Institute of Management Manager of the Year and other Awards the Chief Minister's Award was won by Bulk Transfer Systems.
