Chief Minister John Howard MP meeting with Chief Minister Shane Stone Darwin Airport. It was a template approach by Shane Stone that anyone transiting through Darwin who might be of assistance and important to the NT would be met. The success of the NT economy turned on winning supporters and allies. Thsi was particularly so in winning support for the North-South railway.
