Duke of Edinburgh Visit Australia

HRH Prince Edward, the Duke of Edinburgh has made periodic visits to Australia in support of the Award over the past decades of his involvement. Various social gatherings include Award Ambassadors, supporters, Award participants (past and present), adult award leaders, assessors, supervisors and mentors, parents, and teachers. A group of Award Ambassadors traveled to Sydney from Darwin to attend such a function in support held at the Royal Prince Edward Yacht Club, Felix Bay, Point Piper Sydney. Left to right Josephine Stone AM, Madeliene Stone, Deborah Fracaro AM, and Jacky Mousellis. New Ambassadors were inducted at this event. Since the introduction of the Award in 1959 over 800,000 young Australians have completed the Award.
