Graduate Certificate in Public Sector Management

Chief Minister Stone presenting the Graduate Certificate in Public Sector Management from Griffith University to NT Public Servants on 10 April 1996. Graduation was referred to in the Adjournment Debate Seventh Assembly Seventh Assembly First Session 05/21/1996 Parliamentary Record No: 22 page 7459. At this point in time 109 Territorians had graduated from the 12 month course since it’s introduction in 1993. The course aimed to improve the knowledge and skills in middle management ranks; it was an Australia - wide cooperative venture between the Commonwealth, states, territories and unions accredited by Griffith University. A unique feature of the course was that management theories and concepts were integrated into the practical issues that managers faced daily.
