Shane Stone atop Ayers Rock Northern Territory. Now more commonly known by the indigenous name Uluru. In more recent years some traditional owners requested that the rock not be climbed and ultimately imposed a ban dating from 26 October 2019. Climbing up the Rock was less onerous than coming down.
