Correspondence from the US Ambassador to Australia His Excellency Edward J Perkins promoting a visit to Australia's Northern Territory. Chief Minister Stone ran a very active sponsored visitation program for Heads of Mission (Ambassadors and High Commissioners) promoting the Territory's profile and so encourage investment and tourism. He also actively encouraged the appointment of honorary consuls.
