Hand written correspondence from Dame Elisabeth Murdoch to Chief Minister Shane Stone following one of her visits to Northern Australia. Dame Elisabeth was always vitally interested in developing the north. Dame Elisabeth Joy Murdoch AC DBE was an Australian philanthropist and matriarch of the Murdoch family. She was the wife of Australian newspaper publisher Sir Keith Murdoch. Her son Rupert Murdoch owned all mainstream print media in the Northern Territory.
